Early Years Practitioner – Primary School (Abergavenny)
Location: Abergavenny, Monmouthshire
Position: Early Years Practitioner
Contract: Full-time
Start Date: Immediate or January 2026
Pay: From £89.38 per day
About the Role:
Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to join a welcoming primary school in Abergavenny. This is an exciting opportunity to support children in their formative years, helping them develop essential skills in a nurturing and stimulating environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality care and education for children aged 3–5 years.
- Support the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
- Create engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to ensure a safe and inclusive setting.
- Monitor and record children’s progress, sharing updates with parents and carers.
Requirements:
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
- Experience working within an early years setting (school or nursery).
- Strong understanding of EYFS framework.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
