Early Years Learning Support Assistant
Infant School based in Basingstoke
September 2025.
Term time only.
The hours of work are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 3.30pm.
Potential for a permanent position to arise for the right candidate.
£13.75 an hour.
We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant who:
- Has a passion for working with children, and helping them improve in character through developing their resilience and mindset
- Is flexible, energetic, resilient and committed to working with all children, including those who may need higher levels of support in order to learn
- Has the creativity to design activities for the year group to encourage and engage children
- Knows and is interested in how children learn
- Knows the importance of keeping children safe
- Is a team player, able to inspire and work in partnership with staff, parents and pupils
Applicants should have:
- Previous experience of working or volunteering in an early years setting
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
- English and Maths to GCSE Grade C
- An enhanced child only DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
