Are you an experienced and nurturing Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting young learners in their early years?
Teaching Personnel are looking for a dedicated EYFS / SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the NP25 area. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the foundation stage of children’s education, supporting pupils with additional learning needs (ALN/SEND) in a caring and structured environment.

About the Role:

  • Support pupils in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), helping them develop key skills through play-based learning.
  • Provide 1:1 or small group support to children with additional needs such as Autism, ADHD or developmental delay.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored learning plans and promote positive behaviour.
  • Help create a warm, inclusive and engaging classroom environment where every child can thrive.
  • Encourage communication, social interaction and independence through creative and supportive approaches.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working in EYFS or with SEND pupils.
  • A patient, caring and proactive individual with a genuine passion for early years education.
  • Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with children and staff.
  • Understanding of child development and strategies to support emotional regulation and communication.
  • Must have (or be willing to apply for) an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
