Early Years (EYFS) Teaching Assistant

Job description

I am currently recruiting on behalf of a client in Weymouth for a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner, to work within a Reception class adjoined to a local Primary School. Non-qualified Early Years positions are also available.

These are full time posts, working from Monday to Friday, 8:30 - 3:15.

You will provide a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for all children in your care and be part of a supportive team, with access to excellent resources.

Requirements for the role;

  • Experience of working with children aged 3-5 years in a nursery/reception/private day care setting as a practitioner.
  • A relevant childcare qualification (NNEB, NVQ3/Diploma 3) or above or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage).
  • An excellent understanding of safeguarding / knowledge of child protection procedures (FREE Safeguarding Tier 2 training will be available)
  • Good communication skills, approachable, confident and caring with a passion for working with pre-school children.
  • Excellent team player.
