Job Title: Graduate Teaching Assistant (PGCE) - Various Roles Available
Location: Reading and surrounding areas
Job Type: Part-time and full-time, flexible hours, short-term and long-term contracts
Pay Rate: £140-£160 per day
Are you a recent PGCE graduate looking to gain experience in the classroom?
We are excited to offer a unique opportunity for PGCE graduates to join our team of teaching assistants in schools across Reading and surrounding areas. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will have the chance to work alongside experienced teachers and education professionals, gaining valuable experience and building your skills and confidence.
Responsibilities:
- Support teaching staff with lesson preparation, delivery, and assessment
- Assist with the supervision of students during lessons and activities
- Provide one-to-one support to students who require additional help
- Help to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Develop your knowledge and skills in teaching and learning practices
Requirements:
- A PGCE qualification in Education
- A strong academic background in your subject area
- Experience working with children or young adults (desirable but not essential)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work varying hours, including mornings, afternoons, and occasional evenings
