Are you a recently qualified teacher eager to gain valuable classroom experience and build confidence before stepping into a full-time class teaching role?
This HLTA/PPA Cover position, sourced by Teaching Personnel, is the ideal next step for ECTs wanting to develop their skills and make a real impact in a variety of primary school settings.

We partner with a wide range of schools across the Black Country, providing friendly, supportive placements where you can grow professionally and gain hands-on experience in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and well-planned lessons during teachers’ PPA time, supporting learning across EYFS, KS1, and KS2.

  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of diverse learners, ensuring inclusion and differentiation.

  • ️ Maintain positive behaviour management and create a calm, focused learning environment.

  • Support pupil progress monitoring and contribute insights to class teachers.

  • Work collaboratively with teaching teams, SENCOs, and support staff to ensure continuity of learning.

  • Lead group interventions or whole-class sessions aligned with the school curriculum.

  • Assist with enrichment activities and support wider school initiatives as needed.


Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) obtained in 2024 or 2025 – ECTs strongly encouraged to apply!

  • Enthusiastic about education and committed to developing professionally.

  • ‍♀️ Adaptable, calm under pressure, and proactive in your approach to teaching.

  • Good knowledge of the primary curriculum and keen to learn and grow.

  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
