Job description

Teaching Personnel are working with a number of primary schools across Chester and the surrounding area to recruit Early Career Teachers (ECTs) for supply, temporary and permanent teaching roles.

These opportunities are suitable for newly qualified primary teachers who are looking to build experience, secure longer‑term positions, or find the right permanent school to complete their Early Career Framework. Roles are available across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, depending on your training, strengths and preferences.

We support ECTs into a wide range of Chester primary schools, from short‑term supply to fixed‑term and permanent roles. Whether you are looking for flexibility, experience across different settings, or a stable post to settle into, we work with you to find the right fit.

Roles may include:

  • Day‑to‑day supply teaching
  • Short‑ and long‑term cover roles
  • Maternity and sickness cover
  • Permanent teaching posts with ECT induction support

You can expect:

  • Placements in supportive Chester primary schools
  • Clear expectations around planning, assessment and behaviour
  • Opportunities across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
  • The option to experience different schools or remain in one setting

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
