Experienced EAL Teaching Assistant Required in Stratford, East London

An ‘Outstanding’ secondary school situated a ten minute walk from Stratford Underground Station is looking for a Teaching Assistant with a CELTA or TEFL qualification to start in September.

The school are looking for someone with previous experience working with secondary-age pupils with Special Educational Needs or experience/qualifications of working with pupils who speak English as an additional language.

The successful candidate will join a high achieving and dedicated Special Education Needs & Disabilities department at a large multicultural school, working alongside a strong team within an inclusive learning environment.

You will be required to assist specified students with social, emotional and behavioral difficulties, as well as helping improve their comprehension of spoken and written English.

This post will involve working as part of a team of Teaching Assistants, working alongside teachers to support whole classes as well as focussing on particular students who may need a higher level of intervention and support.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
