A school based in Mile End is seeking to appoint an experienced LSA specializing in EAL to join their team, with the view to start in September on a full time basis. The school is a short walk (10/15 minutes) from Mile End station and is local to the town centre. The school has improved dramatically, since the new Head teacher was appointed 2 years ago and they have been graded 'Good' by Ofsted and are still improving year on year.
You will be joining a small, but vibrant department which is led by a dedicated and passionate head of department, who is continually developing the schools resources and curriculum to help cater for each pupil. The role will involve working with pupils on 1:1 and small group basis and supporting the teacher in the classroom. The pupils are of mixed ability varying from beginners level through to immediate level, therefore you are expected to be able to adapt the style of your teaching.
To be considered for this role you MUST have the following experience and qualifications:
* CELTA qualification
* UK secondary or/and primary experience
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Work well under pressure
* Excellent time management skills
