Teaching Personnel is particularly looking for drama graduates to support pupils in secondary schools. These roles tend to be full-time and most will now start in September but we are constantly recruiting as we are so busy!
So why drama graduates if these are not Drama roles?
I've been working for Teaching Personnel for over seven years and if there is one common denominator with our most successful teaching assistants and LSAs, it's that they have a very creative background, especially in Drama. Why? Well it's because you are creative, confident, patient, fearless, caring and energetic. These are all the personality traits needed in a successful LSA or TA.
The schools are based across Bristol, Bath, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire. We work with a wide range of schools including academies, Church of England, Catholic and independent schools. Generally the schools we work with, behaviour is good but the roles tend to be working with children who have challenges. Whether it will be in SEN (Special Educational Needs) or SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). This means you need to be confident and want to work with disadvantaged and vulnerable pupils. You will be expected to work 1:1 or in small groups to support students academically and pastorally.
