Design Technology Teacher

  • Full time Design Technology Teacher role
  • West Leeds Location
  • Pay rates of up to £187 per day (depending on experience and skills)

A Secondary School located in the West side of Leeds, West Yorkshire are currently requiring a qualified teacher of Design Technology for a long term role starting in October 2016.

The role will involve a range of DT subjects at KS3, with Resistant Materials and Product Design and KS4. Recent experience of these subjects at GCSE level is required as well as a creative approach to delivery of your subject.

The successful candidate must not only have sound subject knowledge, but possess strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage with pupils of all abilities.

The school is located around a 15 minute drive from central Leeds and is on the West side so is within easy reach of both Leeds and Bradford areas (as well as surrounding areas of West Yorkshire). The school have a developing Design Technology department which means that a wealth of new resources and equipment will be on the way over the next few weeks for you to make full use of within your lessons.

Teaching Personnel are also working in partnership with a number of leading, nationally recognized CPD providers such as the National Association of SEN and Leeds Trinity University to deliver an extensive range of career developing opportunities, covering areas such as; assessment for learning, planning for progression, effective behaviour management, teaching for learning, literacy and numeracy in the curriculum, using data, SEND, effective adult learning support, supporting pupils with BESD, Team Teach, Moving & Handling, Safeguarding and the Ethos in Catholic Schools. You are welcome to attend many of these courses to further develop your skill set and enhance your CV.

You will be paid on a weekly basis and daily pay rates can be up to £187 depending on skills and experience.
