Are you passionate about food and education? Do you thrive in a dynamic classroom environment and want to inspire young minds? We are seeking a dedicated, positive, and professional DT Food Technician to join a vibrant Design & Technology department, teaching students at Key Stages 3 and 4.
About the Role:
You will play a key role in delivering engaging, high-quality food and nutrition lessons that spark creativity and curiosity. We are looking for someone with a real enthusiasm for the subject who can encourage students to develop practical skills and a deeper understanding of healthy eating, food preparation, and the science behind what we eat.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver inspiring lessons in Food Technology across KS3 and KS4
- Use school-wide procedures for assessment and marking to track student progress effectively
- Create a positive, inclusive, and well-organised learning environment
- Support students in developing technical skills, confidence, and a passion for food and nutrition
- Contribute to the wider DT team and school community with professionalism and enthusiasm
What We're Looking For:
- A qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with experience in teaching Food Technology at secondary level
- A genuine passion for food education and student development
- Strong organisational skills and a commitment to high standards
- A team player with a positive outlook and excellent communication skills
- Experience with or willingness to follow whole-school marking and assessment procedures

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
