Our client, a well-regarded and forward-thinking secondary academy based in Braintree, Essex, is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Early Careers Teacher (ECT) of Design & Technology to join their thriving department.

This is an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified teacher who is passionate about delivering high-quality Design & Technology education and is eager to make a positive impact on students’ learning experiences. Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and innovative lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 in Design & Technology (specialism in Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, or Textiles welcomed)

• Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential through high-quality teaching and learning

• Contribute to the development of the D&T curriculum and participate in extra-curricular and enrichment activities

• Work collaboratively with colleagues to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment

• Demonstrate commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• QTS or pending QTS status (with a PGCE or equivalent qualification in Design & Technology)

• A strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Design & Technology education

• A commitment to continuous improvement and reflective practice

• Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage students of all abilities

• A desire to grow professionally within a supportive and ambitious school setting
