£55 - £70 per day

Job description

This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...

Would you like to shine as a special needs teaching assistant working with primary school children who have severe, complex needs?

If you would like to work with children and have experience of SEN, whether in a special school, mainstream school or alternative setting, please get in touch!

I am looking for a member of support staff to fill this role:

  • as a teaching assistant working in a Dartford SEN school
  • working long term, as long as the school requires, which means you could secure a permanent role if you are the right fit for the school
  • the class you will be working in is key stage 1 and has just 9 students, a class teacher and three other teaching assistants

All pupils at this school have a statement of special educational needs for their severe or profound and multiple learning difficulties, including those pupils with autistic spectrum disorder and those with severe medical needs. It would be beneficial if you are confident with moving and handling students with complex needs, or attending to the personal care of younger students.

Please bear in mind that all applicants must have a DBS on the update service, or be willing to complete a new one as soon as possible. You must also be able to provide two excellent references from your most recent employers.

CPD courses are available that you can book yourself onto, once fully registered with us, which are at a vastly reduced cost than normal.

If you would like to take a position within a special school and are passionate about supporting teaching and learning, send your CV today to be considered for this role.
