Full-Time Dance Teacher (Maternity Cover) for a Secondary School in Southampton
About the Role:
A dedicated and passionate Full-Time Dance Teacher is sought to join a dynamic secondary school in Southampton. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic educator eager to inspire and engage students in the subject of Dance. Candidates must have extensive knowledge of the UK Dance curriculum. Please note that sponsorships are not provided for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality Dance lessons that cater to a range of abilities.
- Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing feedback and support where necessary.
- Developing engaging and innovative teaching materials and resources.
- Fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Participating in departmental meetings and contributing to curriculum development.
- Collaborating with colleagues to ensure a cohesive approach to teaching and learning.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Dance at the secondary level.
- Strong knowledge of the UK Dance curriculum and exam requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work full-time.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
