A vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Bournemouth is seeking to appoint a passionate and dedicated Dance Teacher to join their creative arts department from September on a full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, nurturing both their technical skills and love for performance.
The school has a strong commitment to the arts, and dance plays a key role in their curriculum and wider enrichment offering. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that encourage creativity, confidence, and expression, while also supporting students’ academic development. The department is well-resourced, and the leadership team is supportive of innovative approaches to teaching and learning.
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or have equivalent teaching qualifications
- Have experience teaching Dance at secondary level, including GCSE
- Be confident in delivering both practical and theoretical elements of the subject
- Demonstrate a passion for dance and the ability to motivate and engage young people
- Be committed to contributing to the wider life of the school, including dance clubs and school performances
- This role would suit an experienced teacher or an ECT looking to develop their practice in a nurturing environment. The school offers excellent CPD opportunities and is committed to staff wellbeing and professional development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
