Location: Preston area
Salary: MPS/UPS (£31,650 – £49,084)
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Start Date: September 2025

We are recruiting on behalf of a successful and inclusive 11–16 secondary school in the Preston area for a Curriculum Leader of Design Technology to join the school from September 2025. This is a full-time, permanent position with a generous TLR of £5,835.


About the role:
The successful candidate will lead a dynamic and supportive Technology department, working to shape and deliver a curriculum that engages students and raises outcomes across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will have a key strategic role in raising standards, improving teaching practice, and developing a team of committed staff.


About You:
We are looking for a skilled and committed leader with the ability to:

  • Drive forward a culture of high expectations and continuous improvement

  • Deliver outstanding teaching and curriculum development in Design Technology

  • Analyse data to inform planning and implement effective intervention strategies

  • Effectively manage budgets and departmental resources

  • Demonstrate impact in raising pupil achievement and engagement

You must hold QTS and have a strong track record of classroom excellence and leadership within a Technology department.
