This opportunity is ideal for a teacher seeking a new challenge within the Social Science department of a secondary school/college.

  • Part-time Criminology and Sociology teacher (3 days a week)
  • Secondary school in Bolton
  • Required from September 2025.
  • Teaching across Key Stage 5
  • Paid to teaching scale point (M1 – UPS3)

Our client secondary school and college is based in Bolton and can be accessed via the M66, M62 and A56 from surrounding areas including Wigan, Salford, Blackburn and Bury. For candidates who do not drive, the school can also be easily accessed via public transport from the neighbouring areas of central Manchester.

The school has around 1000 pupils on roll and has recently been refurbished with modern facilities. The school is Ofsted graded ‘Good’ and is known for its excellent reputation across schools in the area.

The incoming teacher will be expected to plan, prepare, and deliver differentiated Criminology and Sociology lessons to meet the needs of pupils at varying levels of learning ability. The successful candidate will be given full planning and marking responsibilities alongside teaching a full timetable across Key Stage 5.

To be considered for this role, you must have previous experience teaching both subjects up to KS5 alongside a teaching qualification and QTS/QTLS.
