Job description

Job Title: Cover Teacher

Location: North West England, Greater Manchester, Altrincham

Job Type: Contract, Full-Time

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Salary: £85 - £95 Per day

Job Duties:

As a Cover Teacher, your primary responsibility will be to deliver pre-prepared lessons to students in the absence of their regular teachers. You will need to effectively manage the classroom, maintain a positive learning environment, and ensure students are engaged and on task. You may be required to cover various subjects and year groups, following the curriculum provided.

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to different teaching styles and approaches

Education:

A Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant subject area.

Experience:

Previous experience in a teaching role is preferred but not essential.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • Good understanding of the UK education system and curriculum
  • Ability to work independently and follow lesson plans

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional teaching certifications or training
  • Experience working with diverse student populations

Working Conditions:

You will work full-time hours on a contract basis, covering for absent teachers as required. The role may involve working with different year groups and subjects, requiring flexibility and adaptability. You will be based in Altrincham, Greater Manchester, and must adhere to the school's policies and procedures.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
