Cover Supervisor – Swansea & West Wales

£100–£120 per day | 8:30am – 3:30pm | No weekends

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in Swansea and West Wales. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals considering a future in teaching or looking to gain experience in schools.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

  • Deliver pre-set lessons in the absence of the teacher
  • Maintain strong classroom behaviour and engagement
  • Ensure students stay on task and complete work set
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff on lesson progress
  • Adapt confidently across different subjects and classrooms

Requirements

To be considered, you must have:

  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs (Grade C/4 or above), including English and Maths
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
  • EWC registration (or willingness to register)
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills

Desirable (Not Essential)

  • Previous experience working with children or young people
  • Teaching, coaching, youth work, or mentoring background
  • Degree or relevant educational qualification
  • Experience in schools (TA, Cover Supervisor, etc.)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
