Cover Supervisors – Secondary Schools

Daventry, Brackley, Towcester & Surrounding Northamptonshire

We are seeking confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to work across a range of welcoming secondary schools in Daventry, Brackley, Towcester and the wider Northamptonshire area. This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, career changers, or experienced school staff who enjoy working with young people.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

  • Supervise pre-set lessons in the absence of the class teacher

  • Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a calm, focused learning environment

  • Support students to stay on task and engaged with their work

  • Gain hands-on experience working with Key Stages 3–5

  • Work across a variety of schools, building confidence and experience quickly

No planning or marking is required – lessons are already prepared for you.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Confident individuals who can engage and manage secondary-aged students

  • Graduates or those with experience working with young people (education, coaching, youth work, etc.)

  • Strong communication and organisational skills

  • A professional, reliable, and adaptable approach

Previous classroom experience is desirable but not essential – full guidance and training are provided.

  • Surrounding areas of Northamptonshire

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
