Cover Supervisor/Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are working alongside a number of Secondary Schools in Salford aiding them in recruiting Cover Supervisors and Teaching Assistants following October half term 2019.

• Roles available to suit your availability from October 2019 until the end of the academic year.
• Supporting the learning of pupils across all subject areas.
• Work alongside class teachers to provide additional support for pupils with low attainment.
• Opportunity to work in several schools across Salford.
• Delivering pre-set work and leading classes in the absence of teachers.
• Earn up to GBP300 per week, dependent on experience.
• Gain invaluable experience towards teaching training applications.
• Must have transferable experience to work within education.

A cover supervisor or teaching assistant position is the ideal opportunity to gain the necessary skills and experience for those considering applying to teacher training courses or for those looking for some experience alongside a current course. Applicants will ideally have previous experience working within education.

Within these roles the successful applicants will hold a number of responsibilities including;

• Covering pre-planned lessons in the absence of teachers.
• Managing behaviour and ensuring tasks are completed by pupils.
• Assisting class teachers in raising the overall attainment of pupils.
• Working alongside senior teachers to improve attainment across a range of abilities.
• Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups who require additional support in specific subjects.
• Covering a range of classes in different subject areas with a range of pupils varying in ages (11-16) and ability. 

Our client schools are located in Salford with access from surrounding areas such as Bolton, Prestwich and central Manchester via the M61, M60 and A58. For non-drivers, the schools can be accessed by a number of public transport links from surrounding areas of Greater Manchester such as Bolton, Manchester and Bury.
