Cover Supervisor - Secondary School

Teaching Personnel are seeking experienced, flexible, and reliable Cover Supervisors to join our team for day-to-day and longer-term cover opportunities. We are looking for professionals who can confidently step into classrooms across a variety of subjects, ensuring continuity of learning and maintaining a positive environment for students.

This is an excellent opportunity for those with proven classroom experience who enjoy the variety and flexibility of working across different schools.

Responsibilities

• Delivering pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects in the absence of the class teacher.

• Managing classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring a calm and focused learning atmosphere.

• Supporting students with their learning and responding to questions confidently.

• Liaising with teaching staff to ensure smooth lesson delivery and continuity.

• Providing clear feedback on student engagement and lesson outcomes.

• Contributing to the wider school community where needed.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or in a similar classroom-based role.

• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt quickly to new environments.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• A proactive, reliable, and flexible approach to work.

• A degree (in any subject) is desirable but not essential.

• Residing in or able to commute to North Manchester, Oldham, or Rochdale.
