Cover Supervisor
Stockport
Ofsted 'Outstanding' secondary school
Immediate start date - February 2019
Earn up to £1250 - £1300 per month
Teaching Personnel are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our successful Ofsted 'Outstanding' secondary school in Stockport. (Immediate start available)
This is an exciting opportunity for an efficient and organised individual to join our partner school as a cover supervisor, supporting the smooth operation of the school through delivering planned lessons to pupils across years 7-11. Adaptability, resilience and the ability to think of your feet are essential in this varied and evolving role, as will an ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people. Experience of working in a secondary school would be desirable but is not essential however transferable experience of working with children is essential.
As a teacher training school, this role would be perfect for those who have experience of working with children and are looking to pursue a career in teaching.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering lessons based on pre-prepared work to full class groups
- Managing the classroom environment to promote good behaviour for learning
- Liaising with colleagues on their return to promote good continuity for the students
- No planning or marking required - all work will be set
The school:
Our client school is a hugely oversubscribed high school with a reputation locally, and further afield, for outstanding teaching and learning through the relentless pursuit of excellence and a determination to ensure that every child succeeds. Our client school is a pleasant residential suburb of mainly private housing on the south western edge of the Borough of Stockport and about eleven miles south of the centre of Manchester. The location enjoys the advantages of proximity to the open countryside of Cheshire and the Peak District and the cultural and sporting activities of a major city.
If you want to work in a highly ambitious and successful school and believe you have the vision and commitment to join our successful client school, then we would like to hear from you.
