Cover Supervisor
Manchester
Teaching Personnel are seeking to appoint a full time Cover Supervisor in September 2019.
The successful Cover Supervisor will join our client school located in South Manchester and will be required on an ongoing basis for the remainder of the academic year.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising whole classes of 20 - 30 students in the short term absence of teachers including PPA time. You will be responsible for delivering the pre set work, managing behaviour appropriately and responding to any queries from students. The successful Cover Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring that students stay on task and will then provide appropriate feedback to teachers on pupil behaviour and productivity.
Cover Supervisors will also undertake a number of additional responsibilities including assisting teachers in class, supporting one to one with identified students and working with small groups to help raise student attainment.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with secondary aged students (11-16) in an educational setting. We would also consider applicants who have experience working in a similar setting e.g. Youth Work, Sports Coaching and Tutoring.
Our client school is located in South Manchester and is easily accessible via public transport links from the city centre and surrounding areas. For those who drive, the school is easily accessible by the M60 ring road or the M56 motorway. Our client school has high expectations and ambitions and has become the local secondary school of choice. In a recent Ofsted inspection, the school was judged to be Good with Outstanding features.
To apply for this position, please upload your CV for consideration. For any further information on this role, please contact the Manchester Secondary branch.
