Cover Supervisor

Calling all Graduates! Teaching Personnel are working with multiple Secondary schools in Barnsley that are in high demand for cover supervisors to create a pool of regular staff to use on a day to day basis for any staffing and cover needs throughout the rest of the academic year.

The role is ideal for:

• Graduates looking for experience with schools before applying for a PGCE or Teacher Training programme
• Youth workers or candidates experienced working with young adults
• PE/Sports Coaches

What the role entails:

• As a Cover Supervisor you will be required to go into lessons where the class teacher is absent to lead and deliver the lesson
• All classwork will be left for you and you may have support staff within the lesson to help
• Ensure students are engaged and on task
• Strong behaviour management skills due to the nature of the role in accordance to school behaviour policies
