Cover Supervisor

Do you feel that you have the necessary attributes to effectively manage large groups of children?

A school in Lowestoft is looking for a Cover Supervisor to join the support staff on a temporary basis. The role will involve ensuring that student’s are completing pre-set tasks efficiently. This support role is open for applications from the following:

• Those who have worked with young people within a community setting.
• Those who have worked with children in a tutoring capacity.
• Those who have worked with children within a Sports Coaching setting previously.
• Those looking to gain school experience before considering enrolling onto a PGCE or related course.

Applications are also welcomed to those who have prior school experience, and wanting to gain further invaluable experience. As a cover supervisor, key aspects of this role include:

• Ensuring that the classroom environment is suitable for effective learning take place.
• Monitoring behaviour expectations in line with school policy, and feeding back to senior leadership as required.
• Supporting students, offering support and guidance when needed relating to the work set.
• Essential that the required applicant is able display a confident demeanour within the classroom.
• Also of high importance that the given individual is able to be versatile with regards to the subjects that they are covering.
• Being able to effectively engage students, as well as work as part of a team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
