Job description

Are you looking for a rewarding role in education with flexibility and variety? Teaching Personnel is seeking confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to work across a range of secondary schools in South Yorkshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced education professionals who want to gain valuable classroom experience while maintaining a flexible schedule.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

  • Deliver pre-set lesson plans in the absence of the regular teacher
  • Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment
  • Support students in completing assigned work
  • Adapt confidently to different school settings and year groups

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
  • Confidence leading a class of students aged 11–16
  • A proactive and adaptable attitude
  • Previous experience working with young people (desirable but not essential)
  • A degree or relevant qualifications (preferred)
