Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Rye, East Sussex
Pay Rate: £110 – £120 per day
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time (Flexible)

Role Overview:
We are looking to appoint a confident and dependable Cover Supervisor to join a supportive Secondary School in Rye. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or individuals with experience working with young people who are seeking to gain hands-on classroom experience.

In this role, you will supervise classes during short-term staff absences, ensuring students stay focused, engaged, and adhere to the school’s behaviour expectations.

Key Duties:

  • Supervise classes across Key Stages 3 and 4

  • Deliver pre-set lesson plans and instructions

  • Maintain a calm, positive, and well-managed classroom environment

  • Manage student behaviour in line with school policies

  • Offer guidance and support to students where required

Person Specification:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people (desirable)

  • Strong communication and classroom management skills

  • A professional, flexible, and confident approach

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
