Role: Adhoc Cover Supervisors
Location: Portsmouth, Waterlooville, Havant & Surrounding Areas

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a variety of secondary schools across Portsmouth, Waterlooville, Havant and the nearby areas, supporting them in building a flexible pool of reliable Cover Supervisors for the remainder of the academic year as well as academic year 2026/27. These schools offer inclusive, supportive environments with strong academic and pastoral standards, each committed to providing high‑quality education and a broad curriculum for their students.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes in the absence of the teacher, deliver pre‑planned lessons, maintain a positive learning environment, and support students in accessing the work set. This role is particularly beneficial for graduates exploring a future career in education, as well as those with relevant experience working with young people.
The ideal candidate may be:
- A graduate considering a future in teaching and looking for classroom experience.
- A sports coach or someone with experience engaging young people in extracurricular or community settings.
- An individual from the military, prison service or similar backgrounds, experienced in managing behaviour or supporting vulnerable individuals.
- Someone with existing school experience but without QTS who would like to expand their responsibilities.
- A teaching assistant or learning support assistant interested in broadening their experience and taking on more classroom leadership.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
