Contract Type: Full Time / Part Time (Flexible)

Are you confident, adaptable and passionate about supporting young people in their learning? We are seeking a proactive and reliable Cover Supervisor to work in a thriving secondary school in Harrow. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced support staff or professionals looking to transition into education.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will step into the classroom to supervise pre planned lessons during teacher absences. You will ensure pupils remain on task, manage behaviour effectively and maintain a positive learning environment across a range of subjects.

Your responsibilities will include:
• Delivering pre set lesson materials across KS3 and KS4
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Supporting pupils with questions and ensuring engagement
• Reporting back to teaching staff on progress and behaviour
• Upholding safeguarding and school expectations at all times

You will not be required to plan lessons or mark work, but you will play a crucial role in maintaining continuity of learning.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:
• Has experience working with young people (school based experience desirable but not essential)
• Is confident leading a classroom independently
• Demonstrates strong behaviour management skills
• Communicates clearly and professionally
• Is reliable, punctual and organised
• Holds a degree or relevant qualification (preferred)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
