Teaching Personnel is looking for a Cover Supervisor to join a variety of schools in Blaenau Gwent. This flexible, long-term position offers the opportunity to step in for absent teachers, ensuring that students continue their lessons in a structured and focused environment.

Hours: 08:30 - 15:30 Monday - Friday

Salary: £110 - £130 a day (dependant on experience)

Key Responsibilities of a Cover Supervisor in Blaenau Gwent:

• Supervise and manage classes in the absence of the teacher, following pre-set lesson plans.

• Ensure students remain on task and work effectively throughout the lesson.

• Provide guidance and support to students, offering clarification when needed.

• Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment, reinforcing school behavior policies.

• Monitor student progress and report concerns to the appropriate staff members.

• Follow health and safety procedures during lessons and break times.

• Adapt to different school environments and subject areas with flexibility.

The Ideal Cover Supervisor Candidate Will:

• Have experience working with children or in a school setting.

• Have excellent communication and classroom management skills.

• Be adaptable, covering a range of subjects and year groups as required.

• Be confident in working with students of different ages and abilities.

• Hold a current DBS check (or be willing to apply for one).
