Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a Secondary School based in Rochdale who are seeking a Computer Science Teacher from September 2025. This is a full-time role and a great opportunity for an ECT looking to start their career or an established Teacher seeking a new and exciting role.

About the role:

  • Start-date: 1st September
  • Ongoing/long-term with opportunity to go permanent with the school
  • Opportunity to earn £30,000 to £40,000 per year (dependent on payscale)

As a Computer Science Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons which follow the national curriculum across KS3 and GCSE level. You will support students progress through formal and informal assessments, providing written and live feedback as well as progress updates to parents/carers at parents evening. Additionally, you will contribute to curriculum development and innovative teaching strategies, participating in wider school life and contributing to the community.

What we’re looking for:

  • QTS or equivalent
  • Experience teaching Computer Science at Secondary level is essential (teaching placements included)
  • Strong subject knowledge and experience with GCSE curriculum
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and behaviour management

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
