Teacher of Computer Science

Full-time | Fixed-term (April 2026 – April 2027)
Secondary School | Accrington, Lancashire

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Computer Science to join a supportive and forward‑thinking secondary school in Accrington, Lancashire. This is a full-time, fixed‑term position, starting in April 2026, to cover a one‑year contract.

The Role:

The successful candidate will teach Computer Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging and high‑quality lessons that inspire curiosity, creativity and problem‑solving. You will become part of a collaborative department committed to continuous improvement and strong outcomes for students.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Have experience teaching Computer Science at secondary level (ECTs welcome to apply)
  • Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for technology and digital learning
  • Be committed to inclusive teaching, high expectations and positive classroom practice
  • Work effectively as part of a team and contribute to the wider school community

Contract Details:

  • Start date: April 2026
  • Duration: 12 months (fixed-term)
  • Hours: Full-time
  • Location: Accrington, Lancashire
