A reputuable mainstream secondary school in Christchurch is seeking to appoint a passionate and dedicated Computer Science Teacher to join their vibrant team from September 2025 on a 0.6 contract. The role offers flexibility, with both full-time and part-time options available, and will involve teaching KS3 to KS4 students.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to inspire and educate students across a broad spectrum of abilities, ensuring that all learners have the chance to achieve their full potential in the field of Computer Science.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging lessons to students from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 4
  • Support students in developing practical and theoretical knowledge of Computer Science
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback
  • Contribute to the wider school community, engaging with staff, students, and parents
  • Keep up to date with developments in the subject and adapt teaching practices accordingly

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • A strong passion for Computer Science and education
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a relevant degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Experience teaching Computer Science at Key Stage 3, 4, and 5 (desirable but not essential)
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students
  • A commitment to providing a high-quality learning experience for all students
