Teacher of Computer Science – Full Time, Permanent

Location: Balsall Common, CV7

Start Date: September 2025

Hours: Full Time

Rate of Pay: To Scale (MPS/UPS)

Suitable for ECTs and Experienced Teachers

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a passionate and committed Teacher of Computer Science to join a dynamic secondary school in Balsall Common this September. This is a full-time, permanent position. Early Career Teachers (ECTs) applicants as well as those with more experience looking to take the next step in their teaching journey are encouraged to apply/enquire.

The successful candidate will join a pro-active and supportive department within a mainstream secondary school, where you are encouraged to strive to be the best you can possibly be!

 

Ideal candidate specification: 

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

- Recent, relevant experience teaching computer science in a UK based secondary school

- Excellent school based professional references

- Strong classroom presence and confident dealing with challenging behaviours

- Extensive subject and curriculum based knowledge

- Enhanced, child-only DBS on the update service (or willing to obtain one)

 

Job requirements:

-Plan and deliver a range of computer science lessons to Years 7-11

- There may be opportunities for A-Level teaching for those that are confident

- Regularly assess pupil's learning and progress, providing timely and informative feedback

- Collaborate well with colleagues and communicate effectively within a team

- Promote the health, safety and general positive well-being of all staff and pupils, raising any concerns efficiently
