Classroom Assistant

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a Chorley based SEN School which caters for pupils with PMLD, Autism, Physical Disabilities and ADHD. 

The school is smaller than average and caters for pupils of all ages who can no longer remain in mainstream education. The school are seeking a candidate who comes from a background in education ideally, although they will be open to meeting candidates who come from care or residential backgrounds also. 

The role is full time and school hours are roughly 8.30am - 3.30pm Monday - Friday. The role will start within the next 6 weeks and candidates will be expected to provide personal care for pupils when required. 

The candidate must be hard working, enthusiastic, confident and empathetic. 

The candidate will be expected to provide the teacher with support and assistance in managing behaviour in class. The candidate must be looking for a long term role in a forward thinking SEN school.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
