Primary Class Teacher
Location: Yeovil
Start Date: September 2026
Pay Scale: M1–M6 (dependent on experience)

Teaching Personnel is working in closely with a welcoming and well-regarded primary school located just north of Yeovil, who are seeking an inspiring and passionate Class Teacher to join their dedicated team from September 2026.

The Role:

As a Class Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons across the primary curriculum, ensuring pupils are motivated, challenged and supported to make strong progress. The school is looking for someone who brings energy, creativity and commitment to the classroom.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Deliver engaging lessons that motivate and inspire
  • Plan and deliver sequences of lessons to a high standard, ensuring clear progress in learning
  • Demonstrate good knowledge and understanding of the Primary Curriculum
  • Challenge pupils to achieve their best and support high levels of attainment
  • Be a positive and effective team member who contributes to the wider school community
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, colleagues and families
  • Be able to remain calm and organised when working under pressure

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one through Teaching Personnel
  • Strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, completion of our CPD safeguarding is a must!
  • Provide sufficient right to work documentation
  • Solid references
  • Undergo a scenario | safeguarding interview

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
