A Primary School in Wakefield (WF3) are looking for a Phonics Specialist Teaching Assistant to support children with their literacy for its Class 1 pupils. The role requires a Specialist phonics Teaching Assistant who has experience of working in primary schools and preferably trained on read write ink.
You will be supporting pupils who need extra support with literacy and will be required to lead intervention sessions to small groups in Phonics and catch up on literacy. (In house training will be provided).
This position is full time Monday to Friday; 8:30am – 3:30pm. The successful candidate will start as soon as the children return to school in March 2021 until August 2021. However, it is likely to continue into a permanent role depending on how successful the candidate fits in to the school and with the children.
Pay Rate - GBP60 – GBP90 per day (depending on experience)

Start date - March 2021 - August 2021
We are looking for:
• A KS1 specialist Teaching Assistant with recent experience in the sector
• A calm and nurturing Teaching Assistant with the ability to quickly form positive relationships
• A Teaching Assistant with experience in delivering phonics interventions, preferably via the RWI phonics scheme
• A Teaching Assistant with the willingness to commit to a full time, permanent role
