Teaching Personnel are working alongside a SEN school in Shillingstone, North Dorset, that cater for young people between the ages of 7-19 with Autism (ASC) and associated complex needs such as speech and langauge impairments, behavioural difficulties and severe learning difficutlies (SLD). Located in the glorious Dorset countryside with 28 acres of land for play and relaxation, the school boasts of many facilities such as a theatre, sports hall, indoor and outdoor riding areas, climbing wall, multiple safe play areas and a swimming pool. The school caters for residential and day students.
Working as a Children’s Support Worker, your job will involve enabling young people to develop and make progress by providing physical, emotional and nurturing support. The position involves working as part of a team to maintain a stable, happy and caring environment that makes the health, safety, care and welfare of the young people a priority.
We are looking for flexible and adaptable applicants who can follow a shift pattern, to work on a temporary or permanent basis.
To be successful in this role you will be a strong team player, confident, motivated and well organised. Patience and commitment are essential, but above all you'll be someone with a genuine desire to help others. Childcare qualifications are desirable but not essential.
It would be beneficial for you to have experience working with children or adults with special educational needs but this is not essential as full training will be provided.
The school are in a position to interview candidates virtually and if necessary, provide induction training virtually also which puts them in a really great position to take on new staff.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
