Job description

 Child Buddy – Primary SEND School 

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a fantastic Primary SEND School in the Haywards Heath area, who are looking for enthusiastic, caring and committed individuals to join their team as Child Buddies from September!

As a Child Buddy, you will play an important role in supporting primary-aged pupils with SEND, helping them thrive both academically and personally. You’ll provide support on a 1:1 and small-group basis, while acting as a positive and encouraging role model.

 What we're looking for:

  • Experience working with SEND pupils

  • A friendly, enthusiastic and patient approach

  • Someone who can build positive relationships with children

  • A strong and positive role model

  • The ability to support pupils both 1:1 and in small groups

  • A Child Only Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

  • Full UK driving licence / access to a car

 Role Details:

Location: Haywards Heath
Role: Child Buddy
Pay: £360–£460 per week
Contract: Full-time, Monday–Friday
Start: September
Experience: SEND experience required
Travel: Must be able to drive
DBS: Child Only Enhanced DBS required

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
