Chemistry Teacher - Halton - Full Time - Maternity - Starting immediately

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our outstanding team as a Chemistry Teacher. This is the perfect chance to develop your teaching skills in a supportive and collaborative environment while learning even more from being in a high performing school.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, well qualified, inspiring Chemistry teacher with the ability to teach full time up to KS5.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

The role

  • Full time position
  • You will be required to teach Chemistry to secondary school pupils between the ages of 11-18 years (KS3, KS4 and KS5)
  • Preparing and planning for lessons with marking required 
  • Following and promoting the school curriculum and pushing for highest attainment
  • Competitive rates of pay (after 12 weeks: AWR rate, paid to the scale the school would pay at directly)

Requirements for the role

  • Must have QTS and experience teaching Chemistry to KS5
  • Willingness to take on some intervention groups and booster sessions 
  • Strong behaviour management with experience working with SEN pupils a preference 
  • Will have excellent subject knowledge and a desire to provide the best education to pupils
  • Will be required to apply for a Child Workforce DBS, if you do not already have one on the update service

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
