A well‑established all‑girls secondary school in the Liverpool area is seeking a dedicated and fully qualified Chemistry Teacher to join its thriving Science Department. This role will begin on a temporary basis with a strong likelihood of becoming permanent for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, well‑structured Chemistry lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Support students in achieving excellent progress through high‑quality teaching and clear explanations.
• Apply effective behaviour management strategies consistent with the school’s reputation for strong conduct and respectful relationships.
  
• Regularly assess student work and provide meaningful feedback that drives improvement.
• Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning within the Science faculty.
• Uphold the school’s culture of respect, aspiration, wellbeing, and academic ambition.

Person Specification

Essential

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Chemistry at Key Stage 4.
• Strong subject knowledge with the ability to communicate scientific concepts confidently and clearly.
• Effective behaviour management and commitment to maintaining high classroom standards.
• Passion for supporting young women to achieve highly in Science.

Desirable

• Experience teaching in an all‑girls secondary school environment.
• Familiarity with GCSE Chemistry exam specifications.
