Are you a chemistry graduate aspiring to be a Science teacher? Have you got previous experience working with secondary aged students?

A highly regarded secondary school in Rochdale is currently seeking a Chemistry Graduate on a full time basis to provide learning intervention to those students who have not met their minimum expected grades.

  • Full time Chemistry Graduate position, immediate start

  • Attractive pay rates of up to £350 a week dependant on prior experience

Situated in the semi- rural setting of Littleborough, Rochdale our client secondary school is based on a large purpose built site allowing all students to access the curriculum. This mixed 11-16 academy is easily accessible via the M60 and M62 motorway and has a range of public transport links a short walk away from the school. Staff who work at the school have mentioned it is a warm and welcoming environment t work in and students take pride in their work and school.

The incoming Chemistry Graduate will:

  • Have a degree specialising in Chemistry or Science based subject
  • Have previous experience tutoring students
  • Provide 1:1 and small group intervention sessions
  • Be able to build positive report with students to keep them engaged
  • Develop schemes of work differentiated to each student to challenge their ability
  • Lease with the Head of Science on the progress and performance of all students

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
