A Multi-Academy trust, that we are working closely alongside, arelooking to recruit a Behaviour Mentor, for the beginning of the 2020/2021 Academic year, to assist KS2 students with Challenging Behaviour.

The Head Teacher is wanting to see CVs in the first instance, with the view to interview potential candidates. 

The Role:

A Behaviour Mentor is a tailored intervention role and is designed to help pupils reach their full potential whilst keeping them in schools instead of them being referred to Pupil Referral Units, SEND Schools or Alternative Provisions. As a Behaviour Mentor, your role will be helping challenging students overcome their behavioural issues, whilst acting as a role model and someone to look up to. A Behaviour Mentor works on a full time basis supporting student's behaviour and learning inside and outside of the class, this is primarily a class based position however it's very likely you will end up doing 1:1 withdrawal sessions at some stage in order to maintain the progress of student's behaviour and learning.

To be considered for this role:

1. You MUST be eligible to work in the UK
2. You need school based experience or experience working with disabilities.
3. If you don't have a degree you MUST have a grade C or above in GCSE Maths and English
4. Must have a Child Workforce DBS, that is uploaded on the DBS Update Service

Although not necessary, we believe candidates with experiences in the following areas would be excellent applicants for the Behaviour Mentor role:

*Challenging Behaviour / Behaviour Management

*Learning Support

*SEMH

*Sport Coaching

*Teaching Assistant
