Casual Teaching Assistant role for SEN schools

Do you want a job that fits around your lifestyle? Do you have either paid or personal experience with individuals with special needs? We have the opportunity for day to day work for teaching assistants in out Special Education schools across East London. We work with a number of rated 'Outstanding' schools in the walthamstow, Chingord and Waltham Forest area and we are looking for dedicated staff to work as cover staff for staff sickness and temporary vacancies in a teaching assistant position. This role would be ideal for people who want a career in education but need the flexibility this offers to be able to work whilst studying, working other roles or just want a work schedule they can tailor to their needs.

Our schools are highly regarded for specialist curriculum they offer their students, as well as the hospitability of their staff. You will be working with students with a range of special education needs including Autism, SEMH, PMLD, and other complex needs. Candidates with experience with PECS/Makaton are highly desireable, however this is not a necessity. Recent Psychology graduates are encouraged to apply however applications from all backgrounds will be considered.

Candidates to be considered must:

  • Have a current DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one
  • Have right to work in the UK
  • Be ambitious and proactive
  • Be passionate about education

Applicants looking for full-time work are also encouraged to apply as we have roles in other schools for long-term candidates also.

Day rates: GBP60-GBP75

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
