Are you a Carer, Support or Outreach Worker?

OR maybe you have a passion and interest working with vulnerable young people?

WE HAVE AN AMAZING OPPORTUNITY WITH AN IMMEDIATE START!

As a specialist outreach worker you'll provide support to young adults 1:1 and in small groups with special educational needs both within the college and throughout the local community.

Based in New Malden, the college provides personalised learning and vocational programmes for young adults centred on building skills, independence and confidence. Students have a range of special needs including social and emotional difficulties, autism, physical disabilities and medical needs.

All staff within the school is required to be open to supporting students with personal care (toileting support) and/or moving and handling. Having a background as a carer, support or outreach worker is highly beneficial due to training in these areas. However, individuals open to learning and career development are welcome to apply as training can be provided.

What they are looking for?

  • Someone confident or  interested in supporting young adults with special needs
  • Someone committed to full-time work with an interest in permanent positions within the college
  • Previous experience in care support or an understanding of special educational needs – however this is not essential
  • Someone with a updated Child and Adult DBS or able to apply in order to secure position
  • Someone who is open to Team Teach training to support challenging behaviour and overall career development

  • Competitive pay GBP60-70 per day (negotiable dependant on experience/training)
  • Full-time work Monday to Thursday during school term time – FRIDAYS are OFF for staff
  • Permanent contract opportunities within the school
