A client school in Hulme, Manchester (M15) are seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to work in their Year 2 class on a full time basis. This larger than average primary school is dedicated to raising attainment in all areas and is seeking a practitioner who has experience encouraging learning across KS1.
This KS1 Teaching Assistant position is to start as soon as possible and will run for the remainder of the summer term. To be considered for this position you must have recent and relevant experience supporting in KS1 and must have extensive knowledge of the KS1 curriculum. Knowledge of the Letters and Sounds phonics schemes would be beneficial but isn't essential. The successful candidate will offer general support to the Year 1 class teacher and will run maths and literacy interventions to support lower ability pupils in order to raise attainment and help children reach their expected levels.
The post is to begin as soon as possible and will run until the end of the academic year. For the right candidate, the position has the potential to be made permanent.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
