Job description
Teaching Personnel are currently working with a secondary school based in Stoke-on-Trent who are looking for a part-time Business Studies Teacher to start in January. This is a great opportunity for an individual with a passion for teaching who wants to pass on knowledge and a love for the subject.
About the role:
- Start-date: 5th January
- Ongoing/long-term
- Teaching GCSE curriculum
The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons that develop students’ understanding of business concepts, economics, and enterprise. Responsibilities include planning and delivering high-quality lessons, assessing student progress, preparing students for exams, and contributing to curriculum development. You will foster a positive learning environment, encourage critical thinking, and support students in achieving their academic goals. The ideal candidate will have excellent subject knowledge, strong communication skills, and a commitment to continuous professional development.
What we’re looking for:
- QTS with background in business/economics
- Experience teaching GCSE curriculum
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with both students and staff
- Ability to assess pupils formally and informally, providing feedback when necessary
- Good knowledge of the GCSE curriculum and able to plan engaging lessons around it

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
