Business Studies Teacher

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a secondary school based in Stoke-on-Trent who are looking for a part-time Business Studies Teacher to start in January. This is a great opportunity for an individual with a passion for teaching who wants to pass on knowledge and a love for the subject.

About the role:

• Start-date: 5^th January
• Ongoing/long-term
• Teaching GCSE curriculum

The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons that develop students’ understanding of business concepts, economics, and enterprise. Responsibilities include planning and delivering high-quality lessons, assessing student progress, preparing students for exams, and contributing to curriculum development. You will foster a positive learning environment, encourage critical thinking, and support students in achieving their academic goals. The ideal candidate will have excellent subject knowledge, strong communication skills, and a commitment to continuous professional development.

What we’re looking for:

• QTS with background in business/economics
• Experience teaching GCSE curriculum
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with both students and staff
• Ability to assess pupils formally and informally, providing feedback when necessary
• Good knowledge of the GCSE curriculum and able to plan engaging lessons around it
