Job description

We are working with a Rochdale based secondary school searching for a dedicated business studies teacher who can effectively develop students learning within the subject. We are looking for a motivated individual who has a passion for the subject with experience teaching KS3 and KS4. Both ECTs and experienced candidates will be considered for the role.

You will support students up to GCSE, in a 6-month maternity cover, starting September 2025. Planning and marking responsibilities will be included in this role however PPE is included within your timetable.

The school hold an excellent staffing system, with department resources accessible for all staff members. Our school is known for its state-of-the-art facilities and has success rates year on year with many development programmes for their students.

The school are looking for a full-time individual to start this September. Our secondary school is based in Rochdale, with accessible transport routes. The M60 is located close by as well as popular bus routes and train lines.

Main responsibilities:

  • Plan and prepare lessons which will challenge students and ensure high levels of interest
  • Monitor the academic progress of students and implement appropriate strategies to address under achievement
  • Manage and monitor behaviour within the classroom
  • Research new topic areas and maintain up-to-date subject knowledge

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
